I'm looking for the cheapest digital camera that takes some decent video. I seem to have a really bad habit of losing cameras (lost 3 on my last 3 non mongering trips)...and I am done buying the expensive ones. So if anyone has any advice I am all ears - also if someone is looking to sell one of their older ones maybe that could work as well.

if you are looking for a compact 'video' camera that takes ok pictures but real cheap, in the US there is a brand of HD video cameras called Aiptek and they range between 80-150 USD. The video quality is very good as long as you shoot under decent lighting. Night time is where the camera is somewhat of a poor performer.

Sorta depends on which country you are in.

But places like Jessop's and Comet have digital stuff that has been superceded and are now on a clearout price.

For example Jessop's have a Fuji Finepix A850 for £69.99 - 3 x optical Zoom, 8.1 megapixel and Image Stabilization.

Not overly sure on how much video recording you want but that spec looks like a bit of a bargain to me,
