I unfortunately found myself in need of medical advice when recently over in Patts.
I was suffering with a bad throat infection.
I ended up visiting Dr. Olivier Meyer at his clinic just off South Pattaya Road (between 3rd Road & Sukhumvit Road).
See website (link below) with location map.

http://www.dr-olivier-clinic.com

The consultation and medication (which included a course of anti-biotics, aspirin, medicated throat losengers and eye drops) came to a total of 1500 baht.
Good value and excellent medical advice.
The same level of medical care would probably have cost around €90 back in Ireland.

Anyway, just thought I would pass this on as a stongly recommended place to go if you are in need of general medical care/advice.

Cheers
JOE

I can highly recommend Dr Olivier Meyer. Never had a problem and always treated well there.

I recommend him too.

Been on a couple of occasions and always found him helpful and polite. He also speaks Thai, so if you need to take your lady along he can translate if that's necessary. Not the cheapest in town by any stretch of the imagination, but you get what you pay for & I felt happy trusting him.

Had a throat infection last year in Pats (probably from kissing soi 6 girls)

went to the hospital and had an antibiotic IV --they charged me 3,400 so you got a good deal. Will go to him next time---staying at the Queen Vic so for sure i will get sick again.

He is a good doctor but seems to have really jacked up his prices.

I dont know what you guys are talking about. Its a private office with a Falang doctor...good english. Wait time is like 5 minutes and was out in less than 25 minutes. I've gone like 4 times. Including the drugs it came out for me around 1200 baht....and he gave me 3 different drugs.

You get what you pay for in this place.

Maybe, I just think you shouldn't be cheap with yourself. Jacked up prices?

Falangs in Pattaya...much cheapness.

You could be right but I used to walk out of there for around 700 baht a visit.

When I read the recent 1500 baht quote that is on par with getting whacked for a visit to Bangkok Pattaya Hospital.

Is it a big giant plus to have a farang doctor ? Hell yes.....
