Anyone know if I can run the most recent version of Adobe Image Ready with Adobe CS3. If not can I run it independantly?
Also, does anyone know where I can "aquire" a copy... have searched the usual torrent sites but had no good hits. Cheers guys |

If you folks read the OP, he's not asking for CS2. He's asking if you can run the last version of Image Ready with the current CS3.
The answer is no. Image Ready was discontinued with CS2 and is not compatible with CS3 as the programs used shared color libraries and DLLs. Image Ready has not been sold as a standalone product since version 1.0 and was integrated with Photoshop, so it's not possible to install only the IR program. Many of IR's features were put into the main Photoshop program and those that weren't are better implemented in Fireworks. The only suggestion I'd have is install CS2's Photoshop / ImageReady combo then install the CS3 suite on top of it. Then go to the CS2 program folder and try to start IR. (CS2 is not removed when CS3 is installed.) Might work. Might not. |

Guys thanks for all your replies... very helpful indeed...
TD i'm just downloading the files now... cheers mate. I did find something cool on youtube the other day.... if you go to File>Import>Video Frames To Layers then look in a folder that contains a .GIF (you wont see the file at first) typre *.* in the file name box and hit enter (the gif then appears and you can open it) you can then edit every layer. I haven't had a proper play around yet but think this is a way I can edit .GIF's in some way. |
