Well today the world cup qualifiers kick off and England can show the world how shite we are. I really don't think we will win convincingly, if at all and have put £10 on a 0-0 draw. Even under Capello we are shit, we just don't have the players at this level. And the ones we do have that are world class never perform for England, they are a fucking disgrace IMHO.

It's a sad state of affairs when Heskey, probably the biggest donkey I have ever seen wear an England shirt could be starting for us. The guy has scored, wait for it........5 goals for England in 46 games.

I really couldn't care less if we win or lose today because even if we do qualify for the world cup we don't have a hope in hells chance of winning it. The national side is a fucking disgrace and it winds me up.

No-one gives a flying fuck about cricket (or rugby) in England mate. pick 100 blokes in England and ask them to name the England team.........maybe a couple of them would know.

It's the total opposite in oz.......................no one knows who plays soccer in australia but most would know our cricket players.

I hate to see it but it's true over rated prima donna's...When our top players play in the prem they have a lot of foreign players alongside them which helps them to look good ...You only have to look at the last few years in the champions league yet put the same guys in an england shirt and they just dont seem to get it together why this happens i just dont know but they still underperform.
But in all fairness sometimes in the past lady luck has not been on our side eg world cup 86 with maradonas hand ball.

The one that got to me was world cuo 2006 the so called golden generation they let us down big time and all that shite with the wags showing on tv what they were up to wtf was all that about they should not have been there... A total media circus we were supposed to be there to win football matches.... Very unprofessional if you ask me.
As for the present day it's not looking too good we have a coach that has a slight resembelance to tommy cooper not doubting his ability mind you he's got a good record...And players that cant bear to be parted from their loved ones for a few weeks the poor little lambs they have to be tougher mentaly and far more focused.
Having said all this i remember a time when the european cup stayed in england for 6 years 77 to 82 and we didnt have too many foreigners in our game then...Mind you then england were really shite nowadays were just shite but what the future holds fuck knows. Rant over

My view on the England soccer team. I have been a life long fan ie sufferer. I watched us win the WC in 1966 which was great. But now :

1.We spent most of the 1970's and even some of the 80's in denial. We still did not realise / accept that most other teams were simply better than us.

2. It's so long since we did anything that now we are deeply lacking in confidence.

3. All the players are over rated. It's obvious that most of the skill in the premiership has been bought in from abroad.

4. The players / management always talk a good game but rarely produce. They do not realise how dreadful it is to watch them huff & puff around the pitch at 100 mph while the ''lesser'' teams simply pass the ball by them.

5. As you can tell, I used to be passionate about them but that has stopped. The failure to qualify for the Euros was the last straw. The loss to Croatia at Wembley was an all time low. Such an inept performance. Most fans I spoke to were angry & disgusted.

6. I suspect most of the Engkland players are too thick to take on board what the coach has told them (whoever the coach is). Too many speedy headless chickens (eg Ashley Cole, Theo Walcott).

7. I think that the love affair with the England team is at an all time low and it will take a series of good performance / results to get the fans back.

8. If I could ask them to do just one thing it would be to go out and have a go. Try and score some goals instead of playing frightened football.

Most overated team in the world!! Feel sorry for the fans if I'm honest cos every tournament they are hyped into believing England can do!!!

With the coaching and league system for kids still the same as 40 years ago dont expect any change in the next 30, are players are not coached to hold the ball under pressure its lump it............

The likes of Lampard who cant run, cant tackl cant head a ball hailed as a hero is amazing, he playes with great players so gets chances.

Out him in a clutch game where is he ? But he is the same as a lot of others I hope Chelsea keep him as without him they would sweep the baord
