Being as I come from beef country I have a difficult time enjoying a steak anywhere else in the world. The closest I've come was in Malta in 2004. But even then it was Canadian Black Angus beef that I was eating. biggrin.gif

Best steak i've had was round my mate Chris's house on his 50th, filet mignon cooked to perfection.
Best steak i've had in a restaurant was at Manhattens. B)

The Globetrotter does a good pepper steak, flambed in cognac (excuse the spelling??). I allways make sure I visit it on any trip. It is located between soi7 and central road.

I was in Manhattans last week and have to say the steak there was as good as I have ever had.

Sure its more expensive than most places but IMO its well worth it

Looks good SB. I'll have to give it a try. Even though we are spoiled here in the states when it comes to good steaks, I still like having one overseas now and again. I have always walked away happy from the El Toro. BTW, where is Manhattans?

El Toro on Second Road across from The Royal Garden Plaza is very good, IMHO.

I think I can only recall ever eating steak once in Pattaya and that was at The Captain's Corner at the Residence Gardens. It was a good meal from what I remember. Clap1.gif

Yes the Captains Corner restaurant at the residence garden is quite good . Although probably not the best steak to be had in pattaya its good and you can eat as much as you like . Its similar to a texas style bbq buffett , where you can pick from an assortment of meats and seafood , drop them of at the grill and while they are preparing to your liking you can have you fill of a nice selection of salads and side dishes. All for the price of 350 baht .

They will even come pick you up In there ac minibus and drop you off after if you give them a ring (no charge) .

A couple of nights per week Elvis even shows up to keep you entertained

Cheers

I stayed at RG so it was convenient for me that trip and I didn't need a pick up. Haven't been back since but I remember that we ordered from the menu rather than the buffet.

It could have been the best steak in Asia and to me it would still only be good. The best steak is always at home in Alberta for me, although I'm certain there are others who think the best is where they live. tongue.gif
