Hi all

Thought this would be an interesting poll question ?

I've read a lot posts about guys catching various STD's but not one mentioning he caught HIV ( although if I caught HIV, the last thing I would do is post that information on a forum)


I know this is hardly a scientific poll, but Id just like to get an idea.

ive always wondered this too.

i remember when i signed up to PA addicts about a year ago (on another acct which I soon forgot). i remember this guy from sweden always talking about how he never wore a condom once and still goes to LOS and never uses them.

dont know why that guy doesnt post anymore, but i always wondered what happened to him.

Know of 2 girls personally both of whom have left to go back home. Also there is a well documented case by another BM of his friend (BG) who died last year.

Figures are almost always exagerated but even if there is only a small number of HIV+ girls here someone will be probably be sleeping with them tonight so not wrapping up is plain stupid IMO.

I have two good friends who contracted HIV in Thailand, one of them suspects that he caught it in Pattaya. There are some more details in this thread http://www.pattaya-addicts.com/forum/AIDS-...15&start=15.

After one of my friends found out he asked me to tell his Thai girl friend. I did and she decided to have a test as well, she was HIV positive too. They don't know who caught it from who. I was living in LOS at the time and my mate used to ask me to escort her to the hospital appointments that he arranged for her. He had me ask the Dr. various questions that he feared the Dr. might not answer for a young Thai woman.

The three people above are for sure. A couple of other times BG friends have pointed out a girl in Pattaya and told me that they are HIV positive. It was done discreetly and not in a hateful way and I was inclined to believe them on these occasions. I have also Been to villages upcountry where people have recently died of it.

Some other BMs have mentioned Farangs they know who became infected in other threads but I don't think that they now post a lot. I can assure you it is happening to BGs and farang alike.

There were statistics published by the UK government or some agency about men coming back from Thailand with HIV. From memory it's about 20% of new male heterosexual HIV infections in the UK.

I'm pretty sure i know someone who has it, but there is nothing you can do, to stop them continuing spreading it.

You need proof they have it and you need proof they are bare backing still

Here is an article about heterosexual transmission in Thailand which seems to back up a theory of mine regarding a link between the viral load of the carrier and the risk of transmission. it also seems to back-up the theory that it is virtually unheard of for somebody to pass on the virus if they are on the latest anti-viral treatments which greatly reduce the viral load.
