So the computer is fucked!

Its torture not having the Internet and not keeping on top of whats going on in and around Pattaya.

So i need some advice on buying a new lap top? I want something for around £500. I use the lap top for a little college work and surfing the web only. I am looking something with a good performance and something which looks stylish. And like all you guys i want a product that going to give me the most for my money.

So can anyone recommend a particular site for buying laptops? A particular model? Any offers you have seen lately?

Thanks for any help guys.

P.s i am currently sitting in a relatives writing this topic.

Hit 3 different High St retailers and makes notes about their spiel. Go back to your cousins and buy the favourite from the internet. You won't get a Rolls Royce for £500 but you should be OK. Just make sure you get enough RAM, 1Gig recommended especially if you are running Vista pre-installed. 4 USB ports minimum for your printer, camera, phone, headphones, etc. I have a Toshiba and it has never given me any probs so far.

Make that 2 GB for Vista, apart from that, if you want style, you pay for that. I rather pay for performance (WTF cares what kind of laptop you work on???), except when I invite a lady to spend the night. Then, style equals performance 10of10Score.gif

Don't buy an XP laptop. All new software for the next 3 years (your laptop lifetime) will be supporting Vista.

Just bought a Dell XPS M1530 through the Dell business site. Very happy with it at the moment £447 + Vat . They have the same computer on the Home section with the same spec but worked out cheaper in the business site.
