Hi
A few friends of mine are staying Chaweng beach, koh samui in November and they are looking for a guest friendly hotel near the action so to speak.
Being cheap charlies i would say 1500 a night max but they don't mind slumming it for a week.
Any BM with some ideas would be appreciated.

Near the action is kinda funny, considering how little of it there is...... Some of those resorts have bungalows where managment can't possibly monitor it all, guest friendly or not. I personally like the Ark Bar, which is in an excellent location, but it's 2,000 Baht a night. However, there's ALOT of hot tourist pussy there........The beach area in front of Ark seems to be a hot tourist chick pussy magnet or something. Too bad we were into & with Thai girls when we were there, otherwise we may have had to sample the rest of the menu.

There are also some crappy ass places fairly close to the Green Mango but I forget their names..... Sorry I couldn't be of more help..... I'd go back to Samui one more time just to make sure whether I liked it or not.... Koh Phangan was better.... but no nightclubs like Samui. Overall, Samui isn't at the top of my list of places to stay, espeically for a WEEK!

Also, if your friends are making plans to do the Full Moon party and use Samui as their base, that's a MISTAKE! Tell them to book a hotel in Haad Rin Nok in Koh Phangan instead and to book it NOW before they sell out. Sunrise Resort is a decent place in the middle of the action..... Trust me, Full Moon and Koh Samui should not be mixed!

just go to Evergreen Inn on Chewang beach, girl friendly and should be about 1200 for bungalow rooms behind the new tower...good location, decent place, lower cost, shared beach access.
