Hey guys,

Let me just say this is a great forum!

I'm on my 1st trip to Thailand and have been doing thorough research. From what I've seen the LK Renaissance seems great and number one choice at this stage, but I'm also looking at Tim Boutique.

While it seems Tim Boutique is fine to bring in two ladies according to posts I've read, I emailed a website called asiatravel.com who said the joiner policy at LK Renaissance has no fee, but 1 lady only. Has anyone been able to bring in two? I'd email the LK Renaissance directly, but the website isn't working.

Also out of the two hotels mentioned, which do people consider better?

Cheers! biggrin.gif

My personal pics of my room in LK Renaissance when I was an ex-pat...

this is the Deluxe Room B for 3500 baht for one night with breakfast.

I had internet ADSL 2 Mb Ethernet not Wireless, Big TFT TV...

for me the best room I had in the city, and the service of the LK Renaissance was excellent (staff and clean room)

no joiner charge for ladies.

I think Renaissance is better than Metropole for the style, not so crowded, and it's not old hotel (only 1 year or 2 years)

Be careful in the morning, when your lady wake up, she don't want left ! sometimes that's a f**** problem ! tongue.gif

enjoy

@ Cerberus

Thanks for the link, great info there! Also, I think I shall be visiting hell club too!

@ MaGiK

Cool pics mate. I've booked it in now so I can't wait! I just booked the superior room though as I'm fine with the smaller space. As for getting the ladies to leave.. I've heared they are very sensitive to smell over there.. so I'm gonna give them a "dutch oven". (if anyone knows what that is!) That should take care of her! hehe

I guess it's a case of great minds think alike here Poontang ...

I'll be heading to Pattaya late March until early april and will be heading to these two hotels myself...

TIM Boutique, booked the superior room for and few nights and then upgrading to Deluxe for the weekend ... trying to book the Deluxe now

The its LK Renaissance for the last week ... I will be trying to book the Deluxe A (i think) the one with the walk in shower ...

Best options i could come up with and seem like a pretty good location ...

Will maybe do a small report on both

I booked LK Renaissance through agoda which seemed to be the cheapest, but they claimed to charge my CC in US, but clearly they charged it in AU (as my bank confirmed) and an inflated exchange rate. So I don't think I'll use them agian. I have since booked other hotels through asiarooms or directly through the hotel. This was much better as asiarooms indicate what they will charge in my currency of choice and that's what they do charge.

Tim Boutique is $78 a night on the Addicts Hotel Site

only $74 a night on Agoda

Some hotels are cheaper on the Addicts site so its always worth checking it. Areca for example is cheaper on the Addicts site than on Agoda.

Hi Guys,

I will be staying at Tim Boutique for 10 days in May. I researched this forum and others and found the best deal to be through

scandibar.com

I booked a Superior Room for 2100 baht (67.00 US) per night. I think the rate is still available. It also comes with a free daily beer at Scandinavia Bar across the street.

Happy Hunting biggrin.gif
