I don't like the new format with the shrivelled-up replies to a thread. I suppose you guys are worried about band width with no revenue coming in. This is a very good forum, but the shrivelled-up version is a bit hard for the older guys with impaired vision. This is just my opinion and you guys are doing a great job.

is it true that after 25 posts, member will be reviewed to add to "trusted members"? How often do the admins review members ready to go?

I don't like this option to much. I managed a huge forum for myself a while and we managed it by a read-only time for 1 Week...so people don't have to spam everywhere to get the needed 25 posts...

€dit: Well, just have been adviced by mail about the sensibility the subject we chat about in thailand. In that case the rules are necessary. And as I learnd spamming is no option the become a Trusted Member in fact the posts are reviewed by Admin.

I try to do it at least once every 24 hours, sometimes that is not possible and sometimes I am able to do it more frequently.

I like the idea of putting in your time beforehand, even if it is killing me inside to see what other goodies this site has to offer.
Sure, there's the small annoyance of seeming post-spamming, but that's really all a n00b contributes anyway until he gets settled...

It`s nice to find lots of info before going to LOS. That`s what I do here as well, though I`ve been there several times already. Also I like it to find new friends out here with the same addiction as I have. Thailand, Pattaya and Asia. So come on and join the team and find out your own benifits for being a member. Throw in all the questions that you have and ask as much help as you like. We all are here to help you where possible.

I've been to LOS at least half a dozen times over the past few years but have only recently started to contribute to forums etc. I was in Patts for 3 weeks in June and only got back from another trip earlier this week - working on a trip report as I type this - but still I fel that this forum is a WEALTH of information - most great/good, some not so good, but at least I have found an outlet for my addiction (an addiction that I diagnosed myself all those years ago!). I WOULD URGE ANYBODY WITH A LOVE OF PATTAYA AND ALL OF WHAT THAILAND HAS TO OFFER TO JOIN THIS GROUP!!!
