So fellas was thinking about organizing a Motor-Bike tour for a few days around Issan for Mid november 2008.
Yep i know its still early days so i thought i would post it now see how many & ideas on locations to visit drinking holes to hit. + it aint ganna be no race just relaxing time taking in the great views & stopping off when ever & where ever. Got a route in mind starting on the 304 heading north from Kabin Buri up to Udon Thani & beyond. Think Kabin Buri would be a good place to meet up as its only a 2 hour ride from Pattaya for the guys riding up from there. Also lots of resorts & drinking holes along route 304 to stop off & the views going north along the national parks are great. Like also to say im no Valentino Rossi but i know how to ride a big Bike safely which i think many guys have to take in account if your thinking of coming along. Look forward to hearing all your comments & sugestions http://www.pattaya-addicts.com/forum/Dream...ike-t15270.html |

Just an idea but would you consider doing the North rather than the North East? I'd be interested in a tour to Chiang Mai and Phae etc.
We can all go to sinkorswims for afternoon tiffin |

I would love to take part in a road trip like this. I'm a relative biker newbie though. Learned a few painful lessons on the hired Patts 125CC mopeds over the years and can cut the mustard around there now, but have only driven a completely manual gearbox once on a 250CC something for about 10 hours. Road sense (for a non-biker) is no problem cos been driving cars (in the UK) for 30 years but would need some bike practise and advice, lessons maybe before I would be confident enough to be mistaken for Dennis Hopper. I'm tall and heavy enough, also a five times convict for drunk driving here and the thought of a 200B fine rather than certain monkey house time appeals.
It's maybe too big a leap to take part but I'll be checking out route 304 anyways Kenshi. Good idea. |

I had big plans to do just that last year, rather than rent I was going to buy
Ride from Bkk/Pattaya do relatively short hops from town to town, see the country had a mate keen but he backed out. And it didn't happen, riding by yourself can be fun but having back up and friends to ride/talk with would be best , ohwell, bought 3 bikes one for each purpose now, mx, road, scooter. Blew up my CBR400RR motor, spent $$ on the RM250 and the X-1 well that can just stay as it is now! |

Pattaya- Addicts Boy Tour Of Issan 2008 with the Addicts logo and I could sponsor the shirts with my company name on the front or the on the sleeves ? PS: Obviously we would have to get permission from the addicts owners to use the name and logo, I'm just chucking a few ideas around This post has been edited by Mavrick: Mar 25 2008, 06:38 AM |
