I thankfuly land in pats next week. Does anyone know if nascar racing is shown in any of the fine local establishments?

Lots of soccer and baseball (err, football and cricket) but I have not seen NASCAR in a bar here.
When NASCAR is on NBC you can watch it on cable.
I think you can watch it on your laptop through their website (payperview).

This is a long shot, but try the Midnight Magic beer bar on soi 8. It's next to the Cherry bar. He has sattelite TV and can put up about three diffrent channels at the same time. I would watch American Football there, all be it Monday Night Football in thailand is Tuesday morning football!

Secrets seems to show quite a bit of US sports but most bars stick to football (soccer) due to a predominance of European visitors and the Thai obsession with the English Premiership.

Try ASKING a bar owner - you could PM Mulphy for example as I think he is open about showing stuff on his TV.

Worth bearing in mind the the time factor on it as well. If its afternoon in the USA then it could well be early morning here and a bar will need more than one punter to make it worth opening the doors you might have to round up a posse. Mulphy is open 24hrs so again he might be worth a try.
