Has any member had eye test and brought glasses in patts,If so how much did you save:

Got glasses from Beautiful Optical (there are dozens of these shops over Pattaya).

The price in Pattaya are around £100 for lenses, Designer Frames etc, Now my eyes are not the best so the high price but had them done twice in two years and had no problems plus the people in the shop are very helpful also the one I went to was very good looking

Now if you go out of town it probably be cheaper.

I say well worth doing but do it at the start of your holiday as they do take 4 to 5 days to get them delivered.

hi the one i went to is optical 88 in the big C complex very good but the glasses i picked wernt to good i looked like a jap zero pilot 555

Had a free eye test in Big-C next to Boots a few months back, my eyes were fine i just must of been drinking to much a few days earlier

I went to beautiful optical also... but I went to the one in Jomtein (coming from Pats on just before you get to the beach on the left)

Eye test didn't cost a penny and new it was accurate because it matched the one I had in the uk a few weeks prior (which cost £20!)

Got a pair of rimless silloette glasses (the ones you can sit on and they spring back to shape) complete with the latest you can't bend it anti-scratch anti-glare anti-reflection lenses for 9000 BHT.

looking in the UK I reckon i've saved at least £200 prob more.

I use the optician in Tesco Lotus, South Pattaya.
Free eye-test with the complete glasses, ready in under an hour, at under 1,000 baht.
If you really want to save money and know your prescription you can buy ready made ones for 50-100 baht in the street markets.
