Khun Sexy Beast,
As a gentleman with many years of experience in Pattaya, and as one who appears to have stayed in a wide variety of hotels, I would be seriously interested in your opinion of,

1, what is the best hotel in Pattaya, regardless of location or cost,

2, The best hotel with the best combination of features AND Location, and,

3, The best bang for the buck, regardless of location.

Many Thanks.

Personally I think every hotel has a plus & a minus, I've not found one hotel that is a 10!

I.E. LK Metropole fantastic rooms for the long stay price but shit swimming pool & no 24 hour room service.

Dynasty resort: Great rooms but no in room safe, great swimming pool.Very quiet, no 24 hour room service.

whitehouse condotel all good but no view or pool.

I could go on & name countless hotels but each has something that the others haven't & vice virca!

You pay your money & take your chance!

Thank you for taking the time to reply.

I may have said this before somewhere in this forum, but of all the Pattaya hotels I've used to date, The Residence Garden has to be the all around best, without a doubt.
However, I'm not crazy about the location. Put The Residence Garden on the corner of Soi 13 and Beach Road (where the AA is now) and then you would have the perfect compromise, IMHO.
But, that isn't going to happen, so I'll keep on searching for the "perfect hotel."

I like Sandy Spring on Soi 13.
I have a question too Sexy Beast.
Why are you so sexy?
No seriously.I read your report of your massive trip to Pattaya last year on Pattaya Talk.
Excellent too mind you.
What happened to the Cherry Bar Girl you had for several days at the end?I haven't seen her in Hammers photos on other sites for some time now.Has she been sponsored or is in love(not likely)overseas?

Sexy, What is the criteria that matters? I am new at this and I am curious about your view of the Soi 6 and Soi 7 area as an option for hotels. Would you look for a place near there or perhaps a quieter place like th LK Metropole? How does the location figure into your trip criteria and decision or does it?

Some criteria on my list are:

Nice room
nice shower
Balcony
kitchen
quiet or reasonably so I can sleep some point after giving as much luv as I can
location reasonable to getting around and getting the girls back to the room for LT stays
safe for storing valuables, like PC, Visa, Money, etc...
Girl reasonably friendly, because you never know when you my get a wild hair and want more one, two or three
Places to buy a portable stripper pole (just kidding)

I think that is why I chose for my first trip the LK Metropole based on your review and feedback to me. I am sure it will work fine, but your thought process and criteria would be helpful.

By the way how is the new camera working out?

Also, thinking about changing my trip from April 5th through 17th. Seems Song Kran (sp) is giving me second doubts about going then. Thought about changing it to early June or early Sept as the time to go. Not sure if many of the regulars go at those times. Lots of questions, but I appreciate the advice you and Braveheart as well as many other of the experience guys on the board have given. There is a wealth of information on here and everyone is willing to input.

Personally I would never stay soi 6/7/8 mainly because too noisy! & generally not the quality!

As for the LK Metropole, my studio worked out @ 1700baht per night on the monthly rate which

is good value, the daily rate @ 4000 baht is beyond my budget!

I wouldn't hesitate to stay in jomtien! I've stayed not far away in the past, its nice to have a change

at times.

I'm not too bothered about a kitchen, but in room safe is important (just for passport/money) I never put my pc away!

The new camera is great very easy to use! just point & shoot
