Great answer "Forget price, it's your eyes."

I just went for a consult here (Canada). I was told that there are 2 options. Option 1 costs $3,500 cdn Option 2 costs around $2,700.
Option 1 is better since the laser removes less (30%) of your membrane.
I asked why would anybody choose option 2 when you are dealing with your eyes.
I was told that some people can't afford the "better" laser.

For me? If I can't afford the "better" surgery, then I will stick to glasses and contact lenses.

I will probably have it done this August. I hope that I will still be able to see Thai honey's after!

I would like to know more about the condition for lasek in Pattaya/thailand too.
If they have the latest devices, I could go for it if it is less expensive than home: Thailand have a good reputation for surgery, and I do not think you will get a better
surgery in Europe/US: the new laser are fully automatic anyway, they analyse your eye refraction and correct it following their algorythm, I think the surgeon has very little input nowadays (when he does it himself, can also be the assistant that do most of the work anyway).
A member has said it very nicely, and the aphorism is as much valid for surgery than for bar girls: the price is what you pay, the value is what you get. The two are seldom strongly linked...

Only drawback I see is that my hollidays are a little bit short to put eye surgery in them: if I do it at the begining, I will get anoyed by it the rest of my stay (no swimming pool Cry3.gif), and if I do it at the end I will not be able to do checkup visits and I am not sure the plane just after the surgery is ok... unsure.gif

I would recommend either Bumrungrad or Samitivej, both in Bangkok.

here is the website http://www.samitivej.co.th/index_en.aspx

i would never have eye surgery anywhere but my home country where I am familiar with the best hospitals and Universities and can verify the quality of the doc. You don't want to be that one guy where it goes wrong.

As long as you can still touch, smell & taste the thai girls it must be worth the risk.

I was going to say does not matter how good your eyes are surely they all look the same at 3am after 8-10 thai beers, eye surgery can't cure hornyness.
