  1. I did a 60-day visa at the consulate in New York. Downloaded the form, dropped it off one day, picked up my passport with the visa the next day. As easy as could be. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. Marriott is nice, but I used it mostly on points. When I was paying, I got something significantly cheaper and not significantly worse Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. 4-5 Star Hotel in Pattaya

Same for JW in BKK. Much nicer than Marriott in Pattaya, equally great staff and location. Have stayed there often, as recently as this January. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. 4-5 Star Hotel in Pattaya

Agree with all on Marriott. Have stayed there often. Staff and location are great. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. aa pattaya hotel beach road

That was the first Pattaya hotel I ever stayed at, back in January 2000. It was cheap, wasn't great, but was good enough. Although in all my trips back, I've never stayed there again. I only ended up there the first time because when I got off bus from Ekkamai, I followed someone onto a baht bus, got off in a drenching rainstorm, had no real idea where I was, and ducked into the first hotel I saw where I could dry off. 6. Great thread. Thanks to all those who contributed. I'm eventually going to face the same issue, and have wondered which of the two visas is better. Still not sure, but at least now I have a lot more info to go on. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
