  1. Actually liberal democrats would allow it since they tend to accept more than conservatives in the U.S. Conservatives would tell you to leave only to turn around and do what they made you leave for in secret. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  2. I could be wrong but I think for some guys it isn't the reception group but the looks from others staying there. My very first barfine when I landed in Bangkok from Nana had me feeling the same. But once I noticed the smile on the check in girl's face and the seen it all before security guard, it didn't bother me anymore after that. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  3. Ruby Club Guest House

I believe the entrance is down the right side of Ruby. I will be finding out next month since I will be staying a couple of nights. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  4. Resort style vs guestroom

Had a feeling you were but wasn't sure. I haven't stayed at a guest house yet but looked at a few my last trip. I'm planning to stay in one on Soi 6 a couple of nights this coming trip with external entrance to rooms. So no need to go through bar. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  5. Soft comfortable beds in Pattaya

The Hilton has mattress toppers if you request them. Found out myself too late my last trip. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  6. the hilton

Honestly, if it wasn't for me using points for a room, I wouldn't stay here at all. However, if you have the money for it there are a few things included. - If you have breakfast included, I have yet to have a bad breakfast at the Hilton. Their buffet has enough that you will find something you like. -It is connected to Central mall, so no walking to the mall. Just hop on the elevator and go down. -If you are in one of the executive rooms, your breakfast is free and you get free hors d'oeuvres with drinks included each night. That is specially for those who like wine and champagne, although they do have soft drinks and juice for us none drinkers. - I have never had a bad view from the hotel. For some reason, I love staying as high as possible when I'm in a hotel. I love being able to look out. Now, while some of the TGs like the views, not all of them like walking out on the balcony, FYI. -Found out last trip after I left, the Hilton have mattress toppers if you request them so the mattress isn't so hard. They also have my personal favorite, foam pillows. I always request them so I don't have to use those pillows that pancake as soon as you lay your head down. Those are my reasons for liking the Hilton. At the same time though, as I said earlier, unless I was a rich man I wouldn't pay money to stay because of the price. Ok, that is a lie, if I didn't have enough points available, I would pay a little money to make up the difference if it wasn't too high. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  7. Resort style vs guestroom

You can only be so anonymous when your TG for the night/day have to leave their ID card each visit. Everyone nearby sees what is happening with the ID. In some ways, a guest house makes you more anonymous when it has a separate entrance like some I have considered staying in. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  8. Here are the hotels I have stayed in: Walking Street Guest House, Hilton, VT6, Bay Breeze, The Base condo, Queen Victoria, Penthouse, Areca, LK Renaissance Non of them had thin walls but you could definitely hear boom boom through the doors as you were walking by. Walking Street guest house was good if you choose a back room with low noise from walking street. Same for Queen Vic. I thought it would be much louder noise coming from Soi 6 considering I had a balcony room facing the 6. Said all of that to say while some hotels may have thinner walls, I haven't experienced it yet.
  9. Opinions on VT 6 Condo

I stayed in a room similar on one of my trips and loved it. Especially the mirrors right beside the bed. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  10. They did have a big sign in the lobby of the Base building I was staying in that talked about it being illegal to rent for short stays. However, the security guards didn't bat an eye when I walked in. I believe, as long as you don't draw attention to yourself with loud parties, etc., you will be fine.
  11. Pics of my VT6 room last trip. I wish I could meet the person who designed it so I could shake their hands. They had a full wall mirror right beside the bed.
  12. Yeah, most of the places I have taken laundry to, even at the hotel, would always say tomorrow pick up. Which is fine if I would still be in that area by tomorrow. I guess I could have offered a little extra for same day but it was never mentioned. My problem is I don't always stay at the same hotel more than a couple of days. I like trying different places out. Of course I could always go back the next day, even if I have changed to a hotel further away. But if a washer is already in my room, I won't have to. Last trip at VT6, I had one of the corner rooms with a washer and yeah, the TG I was with actually did the washing. I just helped arrange them on the balcony to dry. The views and room size is more of the draw for me as well. Previous trips it was a small hotel for a few days, followed by a few days at VT6.
  13. It isn't just the washer, for me that is a bonus. The Base was nice in itself and the roof top pool was sweet! I just felt extremely cramped compared to most of the hotel rooms I have stayed in. I love the space in all of the rooms I have rented at VT6. To top it off for me was the distance to the Base from the street entrance.
  14. I agree! Stayed at the base 2 nights last trip followed by 3 night's at VT6. Room size is more than worth what you might save at the Base. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  15. And some rooms have a washer, mine did my last stay. I washed my own clothes and hung then on balcony. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
