  1. I have a yearlong O visa (marriage subclass not retirement) and it expires next month. I am meant to be leaving the country a couple weeks after it expires anyhow for a family event, so it makes no sense for me to leave the country to get a new O visa then leave again a week later. Would prefer to kill both birds with one stone if possible. so - is there any way to apply for an extension of the O visa to move back my leaving date by a few weeks? I know you can do it in jomtien for a tourist visa but not sure of the process for an O visa. Other option of course would be to pay the 500 baht a day overstay but leery of that in case they put any sort of black mark by my name for future travels anyone with any first hand knowledge on this?
  2. what a lot of people don't realize is that the hotel owners laziness often contributes to stuff like this happening. for example, i bet i could walk into over 80% of guesthouse rooms in pattaya and open the room safes. Why? Almost all the electronics for the door openers use the same base operating software, and come from the factory with a pre coded master password that will override your 4 digit code and open the safe anytime. and most guesthouse and hotel owners don't read the safe manual and never bother to change it. so anyone (including a smart cleaning lady who knows the code) can waltz right into your room and get in your safe like it wasn't even locked. And because all the safes use the same base software, the master code is the same on almost every safe in pattaya.
  3. Hi there. Does anyone have experience with a situation like this? I have an existing work permit for my existing business which allows me to basically go about my day without fear of any immigration hassles. I want to buy a second business which is in a different industry. when my work permit comes up for renewal in a few months, I would like to amend the conditions on it to also cover my new business so that i can legally do stuff on behalf of either business without fear of breaking the law. Is that possible without having to apply for a whole new work permit? I just want to change it from "authorzed to work at business a" to "authorized to work at either business a or business b" a followup to that question : what if my work permit is tied to a limited company (mine already is) and the COMPANY buys the second business. Would I then be ALREADY covered without amending anything, since I'm still working for my authorized company, just at two different subsidiaries?
  4. Bangkok Hitler chicken causing a flap

well it's obviously pure marketing "genius" on the part of the clever person who came up with the idea. I mean, when you think of Adolf Hitler, what's the first thing that ALWAYS comes to mind? Of course! CHICKEN. Everyone knows ole Hitler was a real master of the deep fryer. Him and Colonel Sanders. something makes me think the Thais would reconsider their fascination with nazis if they fully understood that they would have been among the first into the gas chambers in a nazi led world... being all non-pasty-white and all, you know.... reminds me of this nugget of irony :
  5. thanks shilo. your post was infinitely more helpful than the smartass one before it. Much appreciated.
  6. Anyone know a reputable stockbroker here that has access to NYSE and Nasdaq? I have some shares i've been holding onto for awhile and i'd now like to trade them and put into a different investment. Blue chip companies, but the stocks are paper certificates so i need to find someone who can take that, convert it to a tradeable format and help me get a good price for them.
  7. Warning - Chubba hut inside job.

yes it does, because if you can't remember the bloody name of the place, it makes you wonder if some of the other "details" of the story were also not remembered correctly.
  8. Warning - Chubba hut inside job.

i find it funny someone could spend their holiday at a resort yet still not know how to spell the name of the place. Despite the name only being 4 letter long. It's CHABA not Chubba.
  9. Robbed at the Stags Head - LK Metro

not a double standard at all mate. My only point was, every single glowing review of a business or complaint should be taken with a grain of salt since you don't know the person making the comment. That INCLUDES my comment. Some are totally legit, some have ulterior motives, and it's not always easy to see which are which. I read what people say about bars and businesses here, but i always base my opinions on my own personal experiences. I would never blacklist a business or refuse to go somewhere based on an internet review by someone i don't know, would you? BTW must have taken you a long time to go thru all of my posts to find one from january. I'm flattered, but was it really necessary?
  10. Probe into Red Bull heir's crash completed

that's what i love about Thailand - you can predict the news before it even happens!
  11. Robbed at the Stags Head - LK Metro

exactly. how many businesses have had attempted hatchet jobs aimed at them by ex employees, competitors, etc... Hell, on another thread there was talk of a disgruntled former spammer trying to badmouth PA itself over some perceived slight.
  12. Gotye wins Grammy for record of the year

exactly the kind of stuff the grammys go for... non threatening, just hip enough but accessible to the not so cool older voters.... it's always been a fact that the grammys reflect what's seen as safe and comforting for that year. How can you take seriously an award that has honoured milli vanilli, backstreet boys, justin bieber, and will smith as the pinnacle of modern music?

  14. Best cum shots in thai face.....

    no. why, did you?
  15. Best cum shots in thai face.....

there's a lot of girls that absolutely love getting facials. Why the feminist "it's all for the men"lean on this one? I had a girlfriend before (thai) who wanted me to talk dirty to her while she would ride me and make herself get off, and she wanted stories of multiple guys cumming on her face at once because it was a huge turnon for her.
