Dubai: A 26-year-old man, believed to be a UAE national, has been found dead at a hotel room in Thailand’s South Pattaya, according to reports in Thai media.
The Pattaya Daily News reported on its website that police at Muang Pattaya Chonburi received a report over the weekend that a foreign national had died in a fifth-floor room at the Boutique Hotel in South Pattaya.
At the hotel room, police found the man dead on his bed with accumulated saliva built up in his mouth, and no signs of injuries or abuses on his body, according to the news website. Police identified him from his belongings in the room, according to media reports.
Thai police questioned the hotel staff and suspect that the man was either drugged and died as a result, or he might have committed suicide, Pattaya Daily News reported, adding that an investigation was ongoing.
