For anyone thinking of marrying their TG, i thought id tell you of my experience today at the dept of consular affairs. Got the 5.50 am bus to morchit, then short taxi to their office, arrive 8.30. Hand over affadavit and thai translation, pay 800 baht for express service, told me to come back at 12.00. Went back at 11.30, TG also inqured about getting a passport, handed over her ID card, 10 mins later paid 1000 baht, all sorted passport will be sent out in post next day.11.45 picked up documents legalized and authenticated, taxi back to morchit, home again in pattaya bout 3.30. Great service, very effiecent. Time to tie the knot! In case you are wondering weve been together 6 years and have a beautiful 2 year old daughter.
