In short I felt sorry for many of the poor filipinas and gave all my available cash and even ran up big credit card debt to help them. Yes it was into the millions of pisos over the course of several years.
Common requests were someone in the hospital, funerals, and school tuition. "If I could I would love to go to college".
I have paid for several college degrees, and a few actually went !
Some of the piso requests are real as they don't have the foresight or funds to go see a doctor and keep taking prescription medications. So eventually that high blood pressure or dybetis etc requires some more dramatic and expensive hospital stay.
The worst scammer I believe is still scamming someone because she seems to be living a good lifestyle still and I'm not funding it. She was clever in saying detailed reasons in how she was using the pisos to buy plots of land, starting a few businesses to support her family etc. There was as much detail as you might ask. You ask and she could make it up. Of course proof would be postponed because "you didn't get the scan of the receipt?"..."I have an appointment wiht the lawyer/broker and will get that paperwork right to you". If you have much trust, it can be so abused. Ironically she keeps posting now about God helping us with rough times etc. I think her religious bit is also a sham or at least ironic considering the depths of her lies to scam people.
I have discovered that she really still works in a call center for a big company and always has. There was no businesses, no land. There WAS and IS a shabu addicted abusive husband, who joined her on expensive vacations on my money.
Another AC girl bought a botique on my dime as the previous owner was supposedly going to move to her new fiance's homeland, canada iirc. This AC friend had excuses she needed more and more money for resupply and building expenses besides the thousands of dollars to purchase the business. She showed me pics of the supposed store but I can't confirm if she actually owned it or just took some pictures of a passing store and made the story up. I gave up on sending the big piso to try to maintain the store. Hell it was cheaper to just send her tens of thousands of pisos a month than a hundred thousand 'for the business'! I did note that after she "sold the business cheap" she had new furniture in her room. Please note they do NOT spend money wisely. They will be hungry from lack of food a month after you sent them a thousand dollars. The only reason she maintains a tiny house is because I bought that for her also, so it is harder to get kicked out due to lack of paying monthly rent. She was resistant to getting a real job as it was easier to get people like me to keep sending her money. As years passed she has run out of ATM guys I guess and has been working at a pampanga factory. She used to work a short time and quit as why work when we send money free?
The other scammers ran the usual scams like the hospital things and when I started getting more suspicious and checking up on what hospital and who and what room that sham fell apart. Sadly one of those girls doing that to me later had her bf go nuts when she was breaking up with him last year and he went postal on her mother and older brothers and her. She survived a shot to her face and head, but her mother and brothers did not. It is in the news if you care to look, I don't care to name her now either. Was he a shabu addict also? I don't know, even after it happened she tried to tell me she didn't know who it was and why he did it. As if some stranger walked into her house and went postal. I found out the who and motive in the phils news. She has a dent in her cheek which was the entry wound and scar on the back of her head which was the exit wound. I don't know if it is funny or what, but I can't tell if her IQ was affected at all by it, seems about the same to me
I consider myself an intelligent person. I used to think the people that most often got scammed were those lookinng to get rich quick. Greed. That's what I saw in people I know and saw in the news. This great investment...
Well, in the phils or thailand they can pray on your love/lust, or compassoin. In the case of my worst loss, it was compassion. I was trying to help her as "a single mother struggling to raise two kids". I was and am not physically attracted to her, and didn't have sex with her ever. Most of my losses were with girls who I was helping and also thought they were hot.
I used to read the stories of the sick water buffalo and laugh. It is not quite so funny now. No water buffalo's, it's fix the family tricycle so they can continue to earn for themselves. So did you fix a trike taxi or fund the bf buying some shabu?
In fact just last week one of the girls who begged for money paid to pay rent, said her bf was going from AC to manila to a party. I was her sponsor for a few years and told her do not meet a jobless pinoy and get pregnant. Care to guess what she did, and didn't tell me about until 6mo later? Yesterday it dawned on me who just funded the jobless bf's party trip to manila. Hmmm he is jobless + I just sent her piso =
I am not going to tell you never believe any of them, or never ever send a single piso to help them. But I will say most of them don't tell you the truth on their being single and faithful, nor where the piso is really going. I've been through a few dozen relationships so if this story helps you, it was worth my time in sharing it. If you have a story to share please do.
Edit: How do you know you send WAY to fkng much fking pisos to them? When for years you are maxed out on their monthly 3000$ limit and have to wait for the 30 day window to send more. Blocked on some money sending services as they cancel you because you are sending too much. Yeah, it really happens, you get on a special attention list and unless u provide all kinds of personal information ur cutoff. And no, I don't send anywhere near that much to them now, I'm a slow learner but hell even I can start to see some pattern here
