Immigration pushing it a bit to far now ... ?

Pattaya Business Services

Since yesterday it's mandatory for 90 days reports and extensions in Pattaya. We'll see if it lasts.

Personally I think the only thing thats inappropriate is the social media. And it's been reported in ThaiVisa that you can leave this blank.

I was in today for my 90 day report. The girl at the front counter told me to fill out personal info, Thai address, a local contact and the last page which stated that I was making a 90 day report. The form also needs a photo.

When I turned in the form to the officer who processed my 90 day report, she didn't even look at it. She just put it in the pile with the rest and then processed the 90 day report as usual.

Cheers

Slightly different form now meant to be rolled-out across Thailand. Don't know how much will actually be compulsory to complete?

Two pages only?

Two pages only?

That was one version a few weeks ago.

Who knows what they will actually use or how long for.

Bank statements, wage slips mortgage statement, letter from employer, gas bill, electric bill, water bill, proof of contact, photos of my place of work, photos of my house, photos of us together, Thai Immigration? No just some of the documents required by the British embassy in support of a visitors Visa application to the UK.

You have your problems over there don't need them here too.  You guys need to seriously punt your govt.

I did my 90 day check in this week and the girl said I needed to submit a urine, stool, semen and blood sample...so I tossed her my underwear..

V. useful.   Where was it downloaded from (couldn't find it on the Thai Immigration web-site page of TM forms)?

Q1:  will this bugger up being able to do 90 day reporting on-line?

[No signs (yet?) on Thai Visa of the form being demanded at Chiang Mai Immigration.  I'm sure the grumpies would have posted by now if it was.]      so...

Q2: is it being demanded beyond Jomtien?

I have printed out the form (2 pages). Can some one explain how to get a 4 x 6 cm photo in a 2.8 x 3.7 space.

And what happens if you do not have all the information requested when you go  there. Presumably you go back to your apartment to get it. And do you really have to give them your bank account number.

I think the bank account number is only needed for those Visas that require proof of funds anyway. It's always been needed for those Visas in any case.

You can always put 'none' for social media and any restaurant you want for that bit - just put Starbucks or McDonalds!

They collect a lot of info but i don't see them putting any of it into a computer .

Can't imagine they keep all the paper work for more than a few weeks/months .

I have a thai friend whose youngest son was conscripted to serve in the army.... but because he had excellent computing skills & knowledge they transferred him to the Ministry of Information and Communications of Thailand after his basic military training. From there he was assigned to the Royal Thai Police Computer Centre where his job was to surf the internet and collate information. In his department are 200 other guys like him all doing the same thing. Another department has another 200 guys doing data entry. And this is just for the Bangkok Metropolitan Police..... so I believe the other agencies have guys doing similar thing.

The standard photo they accept for everything else overlaps the box but still fits in between the print area OK.

If you complete the form before you go what else could you need?

Re' your Bank A/c # if you're on a Retirement Extension surely they have it already anyway?

Not if the income bit of the extension application is based on pension income/embassy endorsement letter.

That's true Sir, except I recall one time I did it on income the lady at Jomtien still wanted copies of my bank statements showing that I was bringing the money in which I was spending (rather than working here perhaps?).

No I don't know what happens if you only bring in cash or use ATMs.

I've no idea what the regs say they can ask for (probably anything they like) and maybe she just thought I looked like a dodgy.

Anyway, yes you're right of course....but they do have mine already and I got the impression from some of Billy's posts about Ret Exts that they might have his.
