Starting retirement visa?

2 posts in this topic

Pattaya Business Services

Hi folks,

My wife and I went to the U.S. Embassy last week and got my retirement income paperwork. Everything went well and Embassy people were great.

On Friday we headed to Jomtien to see about getting a non O visa.  Since it is my first time doing retirement Visa we asked a few questions at the private Visa company next door. Visa2 Britain?  They informed me that I now have to have my U.S. paperwork certified by Thailand Department of Foreign Affairs in Bangkok? Is this certification something new? Visa2Britain informed us we will have to head back to Bangkok and have it stamped at Foreign Affairs but they can have it ALL  DONE for a fee?

First,      Is Visa2Britain an honest company to deal with?  Do you have another company that can do the same?

Second, I'm a first time retiree and that is why I need to have my U.S Embassy paperwork approve by Thai foreign Affairs????

Thank you for any help you can offer.

That may be a requirement in Jomtien but it is not in Bangkok. I got my new Visa three days ago and it was not required.
