Ok , I have had enough , I want to live in thailand with my Thai wife , udon or nongkhai I think , so what are my visa options ? I have at least £100k poss rising to £400k ( long story ) so am not sure what or how .... any advise ?

I don't know anything about marriage visa, but I do know you can easily get an O visa to stay in Thailand. It lasts a year and you will have to do visa runs every 3 months.

Scroll down to rule # 2.18 half way down page 10 of the attached document for the requirements for a long term visa based on marriage to a Thai national
As you see you more than qualify
As to any visa runs, i dont know 100%, but i have heard that all thats needed is to present yourself to Thai Immigration every 90 days, so visa runs shouldnt apply
