I have found out about an old incapacitated Brit who has been living in LOS for 18yrs
Nobody was feeding him so I have got that sorted, BUT there is the question of his Passport/Visa.
They are both out of date!

I believe he has enough money to stay on a retirement visa extension.

Will he have to somehow get to Bangkok to renew his Passport at the Embassy? And will he be able to get a new Non-Immigrant O without going out of LOS?

As I said he is ill and incapacitated......

I do not know about UK passport regulation, but assume they comply with most EU countries where a consulate
I would suggest you contact the FCO office in Jomtien and ask for advice.

I believe not. It is not even possible to get one in any of the neighbouring countries. I think the closest country that will issue the visa is Australia.
