How to make money online, so you can live in Thailand

The basic principle of this method, is spend a week making a website and then earning 2 dollars per day per website for years to come.
100 weeks later, you will have 100 websites and $200 dollars per day. Its not much money, BUT it will increase more and more. Within 5 years, you could have double that and virtually retired.
However, some sites may make 50 cent a day and some may make 15 dollars a day.
I will be answering questions in this thread and updating it with my progress over the next 6 months.
I will only do sites about subjects that I enjoy, otherwise I end up doing work I don't enjoy and it shows.
If you have no experience in website design/marketing/adsense etc, please sign up on this site and become active http://forums.digita...point.com/ the search engine optimization forum will be the most popular.
I will try and do a step by step guide, hopefully a few people will follow it, I will make it as easy as possible.
Step 1, is to choose a subject you are passionate about and you can write about without getting bored. And there are plenty of videos about it on youtube.
Step 2 - Keyword research and buy domain
Step 3, Getting familiar with xsitepro
Step 4 - Making pages of content from youtube channels

I would say you should read through thoroughly over the course of a few weeks before taking part, posting threads like "how can I make money online" are not going to incline people to help you, when there are thousands of threads covering every aspect of this subject over the forum.
I am still in the early stages of things, having only really gotten into it 6 months ago, but I now have 7 niche sites up and all rank on the first page of google for their selected keywords. The amount varies, but at the moment my income from those 7 sites is about £20 per day, but I know that this will grow as the search rankings grow. I also intend to make many more sites, I will just keep going until I run out of time, and then I will outsource.
My biggest lessons so far:
1. Pick the right niche. Nothing worse than picking a high competition niche, it will take too much hard work to rank for.
2. Pick one method and stick with it. I am pushing forward with small niche sites monetised with google adsense. There are many different ways to approach the business, but I think its best to pick one way and focus on it and master it. At the beginning I was focused on too many different things and made little progress.
Thats just what I have picked up over the last 6 months, yet I still have tons more to learn. If you are serious, don't sit around reading for too long, just take action, you learn best by doing.

I find there is alot more money going for the highly competitive keywords, but it takes alot of time and effort, so you have to have an income already, to gamble your time on such projects. So your advice is correct, especially for newbies.
Normally I would recommend keyword research, however for this experiment, we are only going to aim for some long tail keywords and try and get as many as possible up there.

Your right - I do have one competitive niche in mind with massive payouts, but im keeping that one as a long term project to keep me occupied when im chilling out in bangkok on my adsense residual income.
Im shite at webdesign, but it doesn't seem to matter. Just find a clean template, and use that, nothing fancy.
Anyway I should get back to work. If you do decide to go down this route, get used to writing lots...

I use xsitepro to make most of the sites, you can make fantastic looking ones, and its very seo friendly. I used to use templates and dreamweaver, but it takes many many more hours and its just not worth it for the time. I will go into this, in the next post.

You have now decided what your website is going to be about, try and type in some relative keywords into Google Keyword Tool, remember to choose the countries you are targeting. You just want to make sure that people are searching stuff related to your site. But as we are going for long tail keywords, you don't really need to use that tool.
Now you have decided what you want your website to be about, we need to get it made.
If you know how to buy your url do it now.
You don't have to have your keywords in your url, but I would have your url relevant in this case.
There are plenty of places you can buy domains, but I recommend http://www.godaddy.com and buy some hosting with it, you can put many domains on your hosting.
For the url, if you are targeting the UK, buy a .co.uk if you are targeting USA or worldwide use .com or .net. Please do not use co.cc, .info etc. I don't want to get into a debate about this, just trying to make it simple and easy for all to follow.
Try and buy the domain for 2 years or more.
My website is going to be about business and marketing in the UK.
So I have just purchased http://www.businessv...ideosuk.co.uk for £13.30 I have literally brought this one minute ago, I am doing this all as the thread progresses.

To make your website, I highly recommend Xsitepro, its very good and easy to use. Even if you are a webdesigner, I would still use it, simply because its super fast and efficient and you can add pages over the years in seconds and everything gets updated automatically. Its very good for search engine optimisation.
You can buy it here
Purchase xsitepro (This is a friends affiliation link.)
However I recommend downloading it on a torrent site for free, to try it. The dodgy torrent copy doesn't have the bug fixes, updates or support. But it will show you how easy it is to use. Once you have realised how good and simple to use, you may buy it. You can use one license on two computers. So you could go halves with a friend.
I only rave about it, because I use it daily and its very effective. There maybe other alternatives around, you can use them if you wish, but I have no idea about others.
Once you have xsitepro running, mess around with some of the templates and try and do a test site with aload of bollocks written on it, you can click the preview button to see what you have produced. There are some xsitepro template sites around. Here is whitespiders template website. http://www.xsitepro-websites.com/

In theory, the more pages you have the more money you could potentially make.
I am going to start making pages using xsitepro. I don't worry about the website design, until I have lots of webpages made.
Don't publish your website until you have finished. Or stop google from indexing it, using a robots text.
For my website, I am going to look for some Youtube channels of business marketers and entrepreneurs. Every youtube channel that I like, will get there own page with all there videos on, I will limit it for 10 videos per page. Under each video, there will be a link to a totally new page, which I will write a review underneath the video with relevant title.
Its pretty difficult to explain, so I will start making the site now, and report back tomorrow, I am hoping I can get the site done over the next week, you can check on the progress by looking at http://www.businessvideosuk.co.uk

I will cover this in more detail when we get to that step, but as you mentioned it, I think its important for people to know how and why before they get to that step.
In this case we will use adsense, because its easy and simple to use. This is how it works.
We write useful information that attracts traffic through natural searches, this costs us nothing, but time to construct the site and content.
We paste basic adsense code around the website, and the adsense company will serve adverts automatically with anything they consider relevant. Then hopefully viewers of your website, exit through an advert. You get payed per click. You dont have to do anything but paste the code and collect the money. Advert placement can be played with, but thats something to do later.

You may think the same as I did years ago and think, fuck that, 2 dollars a day is nothing... but in 2-3 years time, you could have a hundred.
This website will take me around 50 hours maximum to make. And then I should earn 800 - 1400 dollars per year for the rest of my life. Its very likely to be very more than that in a few years, but I am trying to be realistic.
I am also trying to make this guide as simple as possible, and its very easy to forget that people probably wont understand some of it. So please ask.

Page Title. (most important factor) Put your keywords/video title in here
h1 tag. (second most important factor) Put a different relevant title in here. Your H1 tag is just a heading tag to show topic title.
Insert Youtube video
Then as many words as you can describing the video or even discuss/review argue about what they are saying, unique content is the key here. Ideally 250-500 words.
One video per page is better, therefore one topic per page.
