I have been treated like crap by the owners/managers of secrets too,  however, it seemed like the most suitable place, and I didnt want to spite the members, because of my previous experiences.  And I also want to move forward.

Wherever you chose or whatever you do you will never succeed in pleasing everybody.

I know perfectly well what you mean about being treated like crap good for you for wanting to move forward personally for me there are plenty more places in Pattaya that appreciate my custom.

It's just that Secrets is on my personal blacklist I haven't been there for about 3 years now I avoid it like the plague and have no intention of ever setting foot in the place ever again.

I wouldn't even rush in to rescue a bottle of the finest scotch Irish Whiskey if the place was on fire and that's saying something   I'd rather it added to the flames.

If the venue ever changes I will be back.

I wish you all the best of luck with the workshop and hope that you personally get something out of it you certainly deserve to

Once i was about to walk past the hello girls for secrets, one of them actually completey turned her back on me and then once i had walked past she turned back and continued her 'hello' to other people walking past. Guess they only want a certain 'type' of clientele in there and definately not somewhere i would ever set foot in again either!!

Not at the moment.  There isnt a big enough crowd to specialise it as a conference.

And there was no point having it as a social when the lighthouse meetings do that. All the guys that came, go to the lighthouse meeting anyway.

I think a weekly informal get together/chit chat for IM guys living in Pattaya at a venue like Gullivers or StarBucks would be good to start off with and see where it goes from there. No need to spend money to hire out big conference rooms or have a paid event.

sounds like a good idee, im in just let me know, basicly any time and any day. Just sitting infront
of my computer all day and all nigth so a coffee and talk with other in the same boat would be nice.

Just stumbled across this thread.

LaMook I am interested in learning how to make the web profitable. I use the computer every day at work and when at home. Though I would not call myself an IT professional.

I do live in Pattaya so I suppose I am living the dream already. However I work away from here, so my main interest is in turning my Pattaya time into some kind of income. I tried to sign up for the email list but I see it no longer exists.

I hope you are still interested in this adventure.

Been working the Internet for 5 years now - have my own business and staying in Patts for around 5 months in September.

Would be GREAT to meet up with fellow geeks

I like talking about online activities and its good to speak to like minded people face to face as opposed to webcamming or facebook chat etc or Icq etc.

I to am also verrrrrryyyy busy with projects BUT will also take time out - would also like to meet a few newbies who want to start earning money online as I am thinking of creating a new product aiming at the noobie market and a day by day testimonial from 2-3 students would go a long way in promoting the product.
