He was told he had to have the normal form filled in + Proof of Address + 3 copies of the main pages in his passport.
Everybody was in line at the Photo Copy Shop nextdoor having all the papers done foe 35 Baht.
Some people never had their Proof of Address and had to go back to their home to get it.
I went for my 90 days a week ago and I needed NONE of these.
Anyway it`s nice to be forwarned.
Cheers

Anyway, it's farang bashing season again, tightening of various visa world-wide, now some extra totally-unnecessary bullshit with the 90 days.
I suspect the new gov' (at the instigation of Mr Takky) will soon be bringing in visa price hikes and tougher regulations for all sorts of visas.

Quite right. I wouldn't dream of going down to soi 5 without my velvet smoking jacket and cravat. I certainly wouldn't want to be seen in shorts and t-shirt looking, I dunno, comfortable

It is actually a breach of etiquette in Thailand to enter a gov office wearing shorts, flips, singlets. Obviously in Patts they have got used to farangs' ways and relaxed the standards, but in other parts of Thailand you can be refused entry and told to come back dressed appropriately. I'm not kidding this happened recently to a guy I know in BKK.
