I'm hoping to go back for six months this time. I will need to come back home for 1 week after two months, then return for two months, and again come back home for a week and return for two months. I've heard you can get a visa that allows this from the Thai Embassy in London, but having looked at their web site it is not very clear. I've checked some of the other visa sites but they were not that easy to understand either.

Does anyone have any recent info on what visa I will need to cover me for six months (strictly as a tourist) and the cost.

Thanks

Double entry tourist visa   x2  60 day entries .   You don't have to fly home.     Spend the 1st stamp of 60 days, go to laos or cambodia for a few hours, then re-enter on 2nd stamp for your next 60 days  JOB DONE !  hope this makes sense

I think it cost me £56.00  but not sure if the price has changed in the last few months now,

When obtaining the Visa, go to your nearest office   www.thaiconsul-uk.com    this will point you in the right direction

I think a double entry tourist visa to cover the first two trips. Then apply for a single entry tourist visa for the third stay. I have never heard of someone getting a triple entry tourist visa but it might be worth asking about one.

You can apply for a 3 entry tourist visa for about 80 odd quid.

I got a triple entry tourist visa in Hull - no problems at all.  In and out in about 25 mins.

Also bear in mind the postage costs, I have got my double entry tourist visa from Hull and you have to send it 'special delivery' which was about £5 and a £10 for the return so just over £70 in total.

They are always very efficient, it was posted Wednesday and got it back Friday.

Most folks who are citizens of western countries can get a triple entry no problem from their local consulate when applying from their home country. It's getting one from somewhere besides your home country that gets tricky, especially if you have just left LOS at the end of a tourist visa.
