I was speaking to a friend of mine who tells me that you can get a retirement visa at 49 years old?

He seems to think that Thais believe when they are born they are 1 year old and you can get a retirement visa aged 49 as in Thailand  you woiuld be 50 years old.

Anybody else heard of this or is he just mistaken ?
