Ok Ok, I know this topic has been done to death, but alot of the treads are a bit old, and people end up talking about getting a Visa for the self to go to thailand. looking at going back in a couple of months maybe for three weeks. would like to get my girl a Visa when there to come back for a couple of months. now I know all about the requirements, evidence-letters from employors- stat dec's-photos-phone records, the fact it's about 4000Baht. question is, can this all be lodged in Pattaya or even australia for that matter. or do you have to do it in Bangkok. would I be better off getting her to meet me in Bangkok on the first day, do it then and hope its all sorted before I go. perfer to be able to have the green light before I left, that way I could orgainise both tickets together before I go back. any help would be great Cheers Ippy

The application must be lodged in person or by an authorised representative to the VFS office in Bangkok. The other option is via their approved courier (details here). The closest one to Pattaya is in Sriracha.

You can't lodge the tourist visa application in Australia.  As Scumbag said, there are few ways of submitting the application.
If you want to get the outcome before you leave Australia, the application should be submitted in Bangkok at least 2 weeks before your departure.  You should know how to do it because you have known all about the requirements. You can then complete the form and send it together with supporting documents to your GF.  Then, either your GF or her representative can submit the application for her and the courier service is also available.  After about 7-10 days, your GF should be able to get her passport and see if she gets the visa.   And this outcome should be available before you leave Australia.

Don't forget to explain to your GF as to what documents she need to get ready for her visa application.

Good luck !

She needs to have a passport before she can apply. Expect the application to take 5 working days to process.
