The entry permits (stamp/visa) are attached to a passport, not the person.
But I would think it would be much more convenient to get a double entry 60-day tourist visa on each passport (there were triple visas some time ago, but I think they were discontinued).
These visas can be extended by a month at immigration office, then you would have to make a "visa run" and re-enter for activating the second entry, giving again 60 day stay, again extendable by 30 days.
So 2 passports would give you one year of stay, with only 3 visa runs, which should lower your costs considerably compared to 11 visa runs.
If I were you, I'd use 2 different consulates for the visas and 2 different immigration offices for the extension. Just incase.
