hi
i stay in Thailand with tourist visa right now
i got triple tourist visa from Thai consulate in Europe and
i can stay with this visa ( 3 entry ) nearly 9 months here ( in april my visa will expire)
but i am 50 years already now
so i can apply for retirement visa (cause i am tired of Cambodia visa runs)
BUT i dont have 800.000 baht in the bank and i also do not have 65.000 baht incoming
to show for retirement visa.

but i have enough money to stay here in Thailand and live.
what can i do to get retirement visa.

i can NOT put 800.000 baht in the thai bank and let there 2 months .. i also do not have 65.000 incoming
if it has any other way which i dont know
please somebody tell me the way .

my email: jingalex@hotmail.com

You could also check out the work scene while you are there on the tourist visa. If you wanted to work, you could look at the "B" visa

Only other thing I could suggest is to talk to some of the agencies in Pattaya who specialise in visas. I have seen some signs at travel agencies where they will help in changing visas etc. They may be worth a try. I don't know if it is still there but there was a solicitor on the corner of 3rd Road and Pattaya Tai who did a lot of visa work. I was talking to him when I was considering starting a business in Pattaya.

Had a friend who used to see an agent in Pattaya for his Retirement visa he did not have the 800,000bht in a Thai bank. I think the agent charged 22,000bht for the visa & sorted the bank requirements, etc.

I was in the same situation and a 'remuneration' got my15 day 'stamp on entry' converted to a Non Im O (Retirement). The whole process took 20 minutes and no requirement to leave the country.

PM if you want further details.

fine.
its not that easy to keep 800.000 baht in the Thai bank during 2 months or something  like that..

i reached 50 years old and i want to get simply retirement visa ; thats it .
i have no 800 k.
and no monthly 65.000 baht incoming

but i have some incoming to live here ok.
and i bought also condo already here too.

now all i have to do is : go to a visa office here
and pay 20.000 baht to the office and they do everything for me to get retirement visa for 1 year. no visa runs.
sounds good )

Have a look at www.pattayasuper.com to see if you are interested.

As you don't have the non-imm O visa (3 months), I don't think you can get it done for 22,000 Baht if you have it done through a visa agent.

Good luck to you !

I don't know what kind of life you expect to have in LOS if you can't meet either the 800,000 baht or 65,000 baht test.

Check  with your embassy website about income verification.

American embassy verify income without any proof of real income.

And if you have income paper you dont have to have  800 000 in bank, only say 30 000.

If you get visa, it's just visa, yeah? Permission to stay all your life, but your nationality don't change and you have still the same responsibilities/relation/benefits from your country?

There are several agents that will help you overcome the money in the bank problem.  I used Darren @ keyvisa in Pattaya  this week and had no problems.  It costs nothing to ask him what he can do to help you.
