Can anyone help me find up to date information regarding entry requirements to Thailand?

I've heard that the rules are changing again with reference to how many times you can enter Thailand, for 30 days visa exempt, during a short period of time? I understand that until recently there was a limit on how many times you could enter during a 90 day period.

Apologies if my information/knowledge isn't up to scratch but i've had trouble trying to find anything definative.

I'm led to believe that the rules have been "relaxed" a bit to allow regular, back to back entries for up to 30 days at a time, visa exempt (entering via air, NOT land) As long as you leave within the specified time frame there will be no problem with you coming to Thailand regularly?

Financially, I don't think it's an ideal situation, but it might well provide a solution to those people who have 3 back to back tourist visas, and who face the dilemma of being red stamped if they apply for a fourth in places like Laos and Cambodia.

I'd be happy if anyone can shed some light on these rumours?

I was living in Singapore and traveled very frequently on back to back trips using the visa waiver on arrival.  I can't imagine you have trouble doing this 3 times.. 5 or 6 maybe a different story.

We used to fly to Singapore get stamped and go right back to the check counter and catch the next flight back to Thailand that day.

Cheers,

Kurt

Where is your information coming from? I suspect it is just out-dated information that is doing the rounds.

There is currently no restriction on how many days you can spend in Thailand on the visa waiver scheme.

I've never heard of any restriction on back to back 30 day Visa Waivers i.e. arriving by air obviously.

I believe there are restrictions on the number of consecutive 15 day Visa Waivers i.e. arriving by land - 2?

I know that 3-4 years ago the restriction (as advised by the consulate in Hull) was that you were only permitted to stay in the country for up to 180 days in a year. Therefore 6 arrivals by air. I'm not sure how this was controlled/monitored.

You're right about that maximum being applied and they used to sit totting it up when you came in.

I'm sure that rule was scrapped and replaced by the regulation which reduced the land crossing waiver from 30 days to 15 days and I think put the restriction on the number of consecutive land border runs.

Everything they've done, including the recent changes for Tourist Visas from neighbouring countries, has been about stopping the duckers and divers who are staying her long term without the correct Visa.

They haven't done anything AFAIK to restrict or discourage bona fide tourists, so I don't believe they would limit the number of consecutive 30 day Visa Waivers.

It was actually 90 days in any 180 days. At the time when you entered on the visa waiver scheme they highlighted the entry stamp and they would check for previous entries when you arrived.
