Shanghai F1 GP April 2019

Recommended Posts

I'm planning with a few mates to head to China for the GP in Shanghai next year and then head to Pattaya after. I've been to China back in 1986 with mates backpacking but never got to Shanghai so I've been through that culture shock of crowds wherever you go and the dirty polluted air.

So just wondering if anyone has been there and if you can provide me with helpful info on getting around, getting to the track, recommend hotels close to the track or near transport.

And hows the P4P scene there, I'm guessing more expensive than Patts and more scammers?

Thanks in advance.

I have been to last 2 Singapore GPs and also 2 in Malaysia (final one last year). I was vaguely considering Shanghai this year but never pursued it. Also interested in any replies.

Cheers

last time in Shanghai was fall 2016, but i really liked Manhattan's bar, lots of Vietnamese freelancers, perhaps some Indonesians too.  girl i had was Vietnamese, smoking body (natural C cups), maybe 25 years old.  cost was 1300 RMB for 4 hours, 2 pops.  some girls ask for 2000 rmb and up.

i would take a picture of the address in chinese and show it to the taxi driver, just have the hotel get you a taxi instead of off the street.  outside of Manhattan's, there is a taxi mafia which charges 3-5 times more than what it should be.

i liked staying near the Bund, Marriott and JW Marriott are good.  no problems bringing girls to your hotel.

also, Judy's is down the street from Manhattan's, even saw some black freelancers walking around the area.  heard one of the bars moved, and they have occasional crackdowns on the girls.

I love Shanghai.

Take a look at Beverly: http://shanghaiescortbeverly.escortbook.com/

One of my all time favorites. She is a tiny Chinese lady, all natural with ok English skills. But her performance is among the best I have ever experienced.

Another strong suggestion is Angeline  http://angelinesh.escortbook.com/     just incredible, saw her with her friend Kelly. Drop dead gorgeous, tiny lady, but with big silicone, and excellent English.

The subway system is very reliable and signs are in English. The automated voice on the subway announcing the upcoming station is also in English. I suggest finding a hotel in Puxi that is near a subway station. Unfortunately the subway closes early in the night around 10 or 11pm, so you'll need a taxi late at night.

Subway line 2 goes to PVG airport, but I would recommend hopping on the MAGLEV at PVG. It will get you downtown in 8 minutes at a speed approaching 300 km/hr, and you can hop on the subway from there.

Buy a subway card at any station and put a 100 RMB on it, should last a week or two.  You can also use this card to pay for taxi rides. No taxi driver in China speaks English, so have your destination written in Chinese on paper to show the driver.

Shanghai used to have "saunas" that were basically soapy massage places with many ladies in a fishbowl to choose from.  But there was a big crackdown on the hobby in 2016. Saunas are probably still there, but without language skills, I don't know how to make contact.

Do NOT trust most websites for mongering, agencies are almost always guaranteed to be bait and switch. There was once a great website with a ton of monger info call Shanghai nightlife guide but it was closed in 2016 and I heard the owner was spending a very long time in prison.

I've not been to Judy's or Manhattan Club, but heard they are great places to find FL, many from Vietnam. I agree with the Transporter about taxi scams outside of these clubs. Walk a few blocks to find a cab, your new FL can help with that.

Oh, the internet is very restricted, so you'll need to use a VPN to access many of the sites thay we take for granted.

Everyone in China uses wechat - for everything. And this is nearly a cashless society for citizens.  Foreigners can still use cash and the ATMs work fine.

Have fun

The F1 track is far from the city centre- but you can take the subway there for 5-6 Rmb on line 11. I’d stay somewhere Central like Jingan or Huangpu district but I’d avoid the Bund as it’s overpriced. WeChat is a must although very few people actually use the People Nearby function.

Manhattans and Judy’s have Vietnamese stunners but minimum going to be 1500. The sauna places are still around on WeChat but you would have to get contact details and some Chinese usually necessary. Ditto for Shanghai’s equivalent of 141 which usually costs 600rmb/hour and as secretive as possible. There are still girly bars opposite the Hilton on Changshu Road and behind the Eton Hotel in Pudong. These bars are a far cry from 10-15 years ago as many of the fresh girls from that era are still grimly hanging on. It also is way more expensive as drinks run 60rmb.

You could try OKCupid or Tinder but if you are younger hit the popular clubs like Bar Rouge (lots of freelancers) or Le Baron.

Thanks for that. We've booked a hotel in Jingan close to the river and walking distance to the subways, Natural history museum and Xinzhu rd, giving us easy access into city and the track.

Cheers
