6k is for drinks. Wage is 22k plus 4% of sales.

Low by European standards but not sure what local pay is.

Also depends what the sales are and the additional 4%

 6K a month in hospitality ,

Not going to be to popular with the better spending customers.

One drink (beer or Sangsom) a night for customer, and one for himself.

Says you can't get drink anyway...

Looks like being your own bottle of whisky and pay for mixers

But that should cover the rule "but under no circumstances get inebriated "

What salary does a  bar manager in Soi 6 draw, say in a one unit bar? And what does he make extra from drinks and other commissions?

No idea, I always assumed it be more.

But makes business sense to link to commission.

First question I would ask is 4% of the gross or net?

Just imagine the complexities, personities and minefields that would go along with having to manage a rotating lineup of girls at one of these bars on Soi 6. Should be double the wage IMO.

Salary of about 100b an hour. Wow that is a challenge.

About 20k plus 20% of bars profit and commission from man drinks is roughly what Soi 6 managers earn

I'd imagine 6k baht a month hospitality would equal a miserable and solitary manager.....you gotta speculate to accumulate.

Anyone else notice the irony in bagging out a job like this.... on a forum owned by a guy who started in Pattaya like this?

Besides the original ad being quoted incorrectly as 6k instead of 22k, the hours are only 5pm - 1am. That gives an enthusiastic multi languaged Euro another 8 hours a day on the ground in Pattaya to build up their own networks, scope out possible ideas or do something online, while ensuring some income in the process. For all the guys under 35 that want to move to Patts things like this are an opportunity, if they have the correct mindset.

I believe he quoted only the hospitality budget, correctly, as 6k.

That explains why some of those Soi 6 bar managers are such high pressure salesmen.

P.S. I don't understand why a BB needs a farang manager anyways, for many years the mamasan ran the BB and the owner would just come to pick up the money.

22K per month is perhaps low even by Thai management standards...........might however be an option for an expat looking for something to supplement his pension money!

Managers at Sports bars often get 20k with similar spending allowed behind the bar.

If that was his only income, it would indeed be modest for a Farang to live on.
