Was in poipet for a week a little gambling/visa. Couple of nights ago 2 bombs went off outside casino. Weirdest shit i ever seen cunts with phones running towards explosion. WTF

Some people said drug mule and bullshit like that but not 100% sure what happened.

The police and special forces on scene with in minutes was impressive to be honest.

2 hours later like nothing had happened. Life on the drag was back to normal.

Who Me

Shit like that is why a lot of my friends dont travel outside of the states. In today's world it's always a possibility but always in the back of my mind so I can focus on enjoying my vacation. If it happens it happens but its better to die on vacation than at your desk at work right?

Colin back in Pattaya

Who Me,

Is it possible that fear of foreign places is a more subtle form of control than the North Korean model? Just a slightly cynical thought from someone who has visited about 70 countries around the world and never felt threatened or in danger.:Dance1:

I think it's more about thier "fear of the unknown". I've been in about 25 countries and while I'm always a bit more aware of my surroundings (eyes up, head on a swivel) due to my background and training, 8m able to relax and enjoy where I am.

Fear is a powerful force and I've been trying to get these guys out of thier "comfort zone" for about 15 years to no avail. Thier loss, and more pussy (&ass) for me

And its safe in amerika?

For the same reason american's look at the world , other look into america and feel unsafe. If the unfortunate happens and you have an argument with a local, what country has the highest chance that the other guy will pull out a gun?

I'm very well travelled been to various parts of the world inc Moscow and Lenningrad during the communist era and like to stray off the beaten path not generally frequented by tourists when travelling.

The funny thing is I have never felt so unsafe and threatened as I did the three times I visited the US of A. I've been to New York city, all over Florida and all over Califiornia. I know relatively speaking that's a small sample but everywhere I went I felt unsafe, other than Disneyland I suppose, it's oppressive. Parts I saw were akin to third world countries.

Awful, awful place.

I have travelled all over and the one place I felt really uncomfortable in was Tehran at the height of the tensions with the US.

Although I have to qualify that by saying the people was so friendly it was just at that time all the propaganda made me feel a bit nervous.

Contrary to what we might see on TV and in the papers, a lot of Iranians are very pro-west, they like the fashions, music, liberal culture etc.One thing we must remember also is that Iranians are not Arabs, they hate the fact that anyone would label them that!
