3 Days in Pattaya - What Area to Stay In?

Recommended Posts

Explorer8939

I will be staying in View Talay 6 for a while, but I found a hole in my schedule, and I have 3 extra days in Pattaya. So.... considering all the variables, what’s the best area to stay in? The variables include transportation (I don’t take moto taxis), the nearby bars, construction issues (torn up streets), etc.

Walking Street

LK Metro

Soi 6

Soi 7 or 8

Soi 13

View Talay 6 area

Jomtien

Some other place

 Bangkok is not an option.

??

What's your budget? Personally, I'd just stay at the Hilton, great hotel and good location.

I just got back from Siam@Siam, great hotel but perhaps a little far out for you for three days? I also don't take motorbike taxis so I got around by paying 200-300 baht each way for baht busses (If you have a company get them to do the negotiating).  Generally from Siam@Siam to Walking Street was 200-250thb and that's dropped off at the door.

Convenience wise, your already staying at the best place (VT6). So why not just stay there 3 extra days? This time of year there must be a lot of vacancies.

Soi 10 at The Stay or Sea Me Tree, perfect location as it's central to all areas.

Really!!  You have over 7,000 posts and you are asking a nube question?  Having stayed at all the places you mentioned but maybe Walking Street, I would take a break from the crowds and go to Jomtien Beach area for 3 days.  BTW, I think that I have less that 30 posts, so take my advice for just that.

I never would have thought to stay on Soi Honey without this thread.

I will be staying in Jomtien later in the month - condo shopping.

Think his just bored and likes to post on the forum honestly.

Depends what you like doing, i'm assuming your more into beer bars and such, so somewhere around the LK Metro area- Areca lodge or that LK hotel ( not metro, other one on soi diana) would be my choice

It's going to be Soi Honey.

I was looking for some different points of view, and got them, thank you.

Soi Honey has baht bus routes on both ends, so, being a lazy bastard, I can get around Pattaya fairly easily from Soi Honey.

Mr. Majestyk

The heart of the Pattaya night scene is really small enough that one could stay anywhere and be within reasonable walking distance of just about everything, or at the very least within a short walk to a baht bus.

I am too lazy to walk from Soi 13 to LK Metro. I did it in 2006, never again. And there is no baht bus going that direction.

Note: I was going to Lolita's, which not where it is today. There wasn't much around it, the area was not like it is today.
